Our main blasting booth utilises aluminium oxide (180-220 grade) which provides a non-destructive surface preparation for components prior to plating. The booth is a drive-in design which is particularly suitable for a variety of large applications including automotive restoration and steelwork reclamation.
It also provides an effective method of preparing a surface with a roughened profile which promotes the adhesion of specialist surface treatments such as paint, FBE and powder coating.
In addition, Nipro have the capability to blast with heavy steel grit (chilled iron) and also operate a hand blast cabinet dedicated to glass bead media or fine oxides for both surface cleaning and the refurbishment of smaller components. Our blast facilities are equipped with a media reclaim system which enables us to operate cost effectively and be environmentally friendly.
